Bears Island & South Camp
Bears Island and South Camp lay south of the main gate. The camps are cut out of heavy hardwood timber along the creek. There is a gravel road providing access to both camps. There is also several elevated foot bridges for daily foot traffic. We can camp about 35 to 40 primitive camps in these two areas.
Bears Island and South Camp are sometimes overlooked as they are seperated from Main Camp by a gravel road. Do not make the mistake of disregaurding these camps. If they are open for camping at an event they are some of the nicest areas at the Station.
